Re: New Forum Many Errors
I figured you were at least one of the hard chargers working behind the scenes. Bummer to see how things have evolved but am grateful you're working on it. Thanks.

Re: New Forum Many Errors
This is the first thread I've seen on the subject of the forum changeover. Yes, there is content missing. Very few pages linked in from Google redirect. The search function is very limited, as in only the ability to search specific categories. It's tough enough to navigate as it is. Overall, it's a ...

Re: New Forum Many Errors
Why assume anything other than patience? The admins may never know if it is never brought to their attention, and since there appears to be no other forum category to address such issues, I figured this might very well be a good place to post feedback pertaining to the forum in order to assist the a...

New Forum Many Errors
While it seems faster than the SMF forum, the new forum has a lot of errors and timeouts, including the one I receive when clicking the notification link. SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] Server shutdown in progress [1053] An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this p...

Re: New forum search blows
Agree. Is there anywhere that explains the reason for switching from SMF to PHPbb?

Re: OpenSEF not available at http://extensions.joomla.org/ ?
It is compatible. I'm using Joomla 1.0.13a on many of my installs. I haven't cared to bother upgrading to the latest 1.0.14 version. But it ought to work there as well. Simply because a new version of Joomla arrives doesn't mean every component, module and plugin will not work unless it too is upgra...

Re: OpenSEF not available at http://extensions.joomla.org/ ?
The original OpenSEF operation has folded, but a new developer has taken up the cause. You may find it here. m I'm still using it under the OpenSEF packaging, which is apparently the same. It's a default install on my !J sites. I've never used the mutli-site feature. How does it work, and how are yo...

Hummerbie,
Good work. Congratulations. It would be interesting to have a contest, choosing a keyword and seeing who pops up on top.

New Extensions Module / Extensions Newsletter
Thanks to the Extension Admins who published the "New Extensions" module at the top of the page. It is now easier and serves as a reminder to check for new extensions. About the only other thing I could recommend, if fiesable, would be to create newletters that keeps members informed about new exten...

Re: OpenSEF not available at http://extensions.joomla.org/ ?
At the very least, if we are going to drag this discussion on, we may as well integrate a few more soap opera scenes to make the drama a bit more worth our while. I too noticed Open-SEF was MIA and figured the reasons reverted back to the same old bull that's been going on with the comonent si...
