I figured it out. 1) In com_gallery2:  Relative Server Path to G2 was wrong. changed from "../gallery2" to "gallery2" 2) In Gallery 2: Under Admin Options > URL Rewrite > click Rules (tab).  Under URL Rewrite I deactivated "Show item" & "Download Item" Hope this info is helpful to someone ...
