What an excellent timing! Right on Joomla!'s 21st birthday!  :-*

... in open source years of course, not human years :)

Congratulations everybody! It's so great to be a part of this!

Re: joomlacode.org and svn are down

Maybe some of the pressure could be taken from the FRS by using torrents. We could set this up for j's packages as well as some of the most downloaded extensions, make a big announcement, and make sure that users clicking 'download' on the front page are encouraged to use them. Thoughts? I'd be happ...

Re: joomlacode.org and svn are down

I realize it's not an easy task, so I certainly did not mean to point fingers. And I agree it's nowhere near as bad as it was on the old forge. So thanks for that :-) It's just frustrating when my most important development tool (apart from eclipse) fails. I'm often the first one to report here, so ...

As this happens every few weeks, always with the same error msgs, it might be a good idea to look for a more permanent solution. Just a friendly suggestion :-)

You never need to load classes with multiple names like JFooBar. I'm writing something for our blog, keep an eye on http://blog.joomlatools.org

For people curious about memory usage of RC4 compared to RC3, I did a little post about that on our blog @ Joomlatools: http://blog.joomlatools.org/2007/12/joomla-15rc4-memory-usage-and-legacy.html  :)

I know it sounds stupid. But I can't even find it at this stage in Eclipse. :)

Perhaps in Window -> Customize Perspective ? Haven't tried it myself.

Re: Building the Ship - IDE

I have a question related to this discussion. (Thanks to each of you for sharing - it has been most helpful.) Are developers encouraged to get an SVN repository for EACH project? Or, should they get one repository, and then host all of their projects? Given the answer to that, how does that impact ...

Re: Building the Ship - IDE

Just thought I'd mention this here as it's relevant to the whole workflow thing: When you need to create zip files of your project, instead of doing it manually every time, you can script this using Apache Ant. I don't know about other IDE's, but using EasyEclipse or J!Code, this is very easy. I use...

Re: Three Questions

Question 2. How do authors control line breaks in lengthy (or itemized) descriptions?  Any news on this? It would be great to be able to make nice lists of features, have some paragraphs etc. '\n' and '' are stripped. Ideally, there should be an intro text (with line breaks etc stripped) and a...

Hi, I never added MjazTools BlogTheme (a theme for docman) to the JED as I was told themes are not allowed. Now apparently someone else has added it. I've no idea if it was someone of the Extensions team or just a fan ;-) Anyway, if it's not allowed, please remove it. If it is, could you transfer th...
