Would be ok to update this page/image....

Hi folks This is maybe not an important issue - more of a way of profesionall thinking for new users arriving to joomla... I have been ignoring this for a long time but when we all know that it might be quite a while before J1.5 gets stable - there might be a good idea to update the following page w...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! Wins 'Best CMS Award' Again!

But what really thrilled me was how Packt is also getting behind the up-and-coming projects, not just the big players.  It's such an encouragement to them and the Open Source ethos in general. This is true, so true. Even though i had my " " in terms of thinking how this award went through, i n...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! Wins 'Best CMS Award' Again!

I congratulate the Drupal community on their win this year. It is well deserved. They have worked very hard. ...Drupal's win does not diminish Joomla! in any way! In fact, it motivates me to participate more fully and help Joomla! grow even stronger! I cant agree more with u Amy - Drupal is really ...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! Wins 'Best CMS Award' Again!

I sincerly hope they will make this a COMPETITION next year, and i wish i read the rules a bit better lol. I admire Pact for setting up this "thingie" and i do believe it is helping the CMS world - but damn, the arangement with this "thingie" was just horrible. Can someone please tell me what coding...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! Wins 'Best CMS Award' Again!

thanx for clearing it up mediamagnate. Guess i "got it wrong" after reading this part at the pact myself: If you read Packt's site, it clearly states that Joomla! is still in the running for the Overall Award. and forgot this part: 4. A CMS cannot win more than one category. .... Then my bet is Drup...

Re: Discuss: Joomla! Wins 'Best CMS Award' Again!

We can't get both... so we are no longer in the running for Overall Winner. What?? Cant win both - why nominate in two categories then?? and why offer people to wote in two categories - makes no sense. Can you provide a link to the info that says that Joomla is out of the comp in terms of winning t...

Re: Discuss: Time to Vote for the World's Best CMS

CONGRATULATIONS JOOMLA

Though it was "in the air" - winning a competition is seldom easy. The win is another throphy achieved by delivering a really good product that is backed up by a fantastic community.

IT IS WELL DESERVED

Great news indeed - and a big thanx to all of those who contributes so much in order to keep joomla as the best cms for both the novice and experienced user. Quote from: cord on May 05, 2007, 09:45:13 AM I mean: Will the contents created in Joomla Beta-2 be usable and unaltered after updating to 1.5 stable? I'm not talking about third-party-components, it's just about sections, categories and content articles! Yes, you can. With the release of beta 2 we...
