Right--I assume you're a dev, though, and I don't think you're counting or valuing your time and other costs related to custom development. GiftWorks, btw, is in fact interoperable. It's a hybrid of desktop and web services, can host AJAX, is easy to code to, and will have a full SDK in early 2006. The presentation layer is open source, and there are other parts of the app we'll likely open up as well. Anyone can build an installer-less...
