Excellent! I say we need to spread the word and get people to use it now!
Thanks RussW!

Re: Will Someone help me read- i'm browsing joomla! forum!!!!!
DWBellows, Naturally, this is appreciated. THank you for your confidence in our work. I know that the admins are working hard to still make it work even better, as well as the moderators re-organizing the topics through the boards. We're getting there, but it's taking a bit of time, since we have so...

Re: Search Not Working
Hi, I'm very desapointed about the new forum. :( I'm not able to perform search and the forum is very slow. As brad has repeated (over and over), you will be able to search more posts as the board is re-indexed. It just takes time, sorry it’s not instant. (and PHPBB is not a secure forum) phpBB3 is...

Re: What happened to the forum today???
The previous forum worked fine - this one does not. The previous forum was upgraded, tested, refined, and tested daily for several years. Hence the reason it worked fine. Why can you not even give this a few days? I'll say it again. I believe there are deeper issues involved and a hidden agenda is ...

Re: Discuss: New beginnings
I know that Joomla would not be what it is today without the three of you. Would we have 1.5? I wonder. Would we have any of this? Thanks for all of your hard work and effort, I hope that those who follow after will take what you've done and do great things with it! And Andrew, congrats on joining t...

Re: What happened to the forum today???
Search still doesn't seem to be functioning properly, 6:16pm EST , I've tried Google Search and standard Advanced Search, when I get a list of results and click on link, I'm returned to top forum menu. This is the second time in a row I've come to joomla.org to solve a problem to just have to walk ...

Re: What happened to the forum today???
I believe your goal is on making Joomla! #1 in everything. I believe a goal for many of those who have been working hard in the Joomla! project is to make Open Source as a whole the best choice for software. Joomla! will always have ties with fireboard, because fireboard relies on Joomla!. Just like...

I would like to stress the fact once more to PLEASE be patient, and also to read through previous posts on the topic. You'll find that many of your comments have been said over and over. Re: Will Someone help me read- i'm browsing joomla! forum!!!!!
Yes, buddy, I got that.
The reason that we have a theme is because it is not that dificult to go with the default theme for the site in the first place.
You have to have a theme to view the site...or at least, some CSS styling. This is a heck of a lot better than what it could be.

Hmmm...let's find a point in making a thread for complaints that have already been made by many others. We already realize that this is not working too well for many of you, and this is not a surprise. The Administrators are working hard to get functionality, usablity, performance, and template issu...

Re: What happened to the forum today???
Hehehe, The users are not synced to Joomla!. When you registered, you registered in phpbb3 (or SMF if you did on the old forum). The Joomla! code is not attached to this site in any way. The reason it looks like the other Joomla.org websites is because of theming and coding the phpbb3 site. All othe...

Re: New forum search blows
To search, you have to manually enter the url http://forum.joomla.org/search.php The current design blows to the max. Avatars on the right? No quick replies? Login form at the bottom ? Lousy security? MySQL4? Low load capacity? Oh, come come. The forums now are faster than they ever were with SMF, ...

You are correct, I apologize.

Thank you for your help!

1. There are many other forums out there where these questions are being discussed, but I'll answer them briefly here as well. Please try doing a search through the forums before asking again, though. Thanks! Now that that's done. Let me answer. No, there are no pages that actually compare the two e...

Amy, why don't you put up a demo for 1.0.13? Cause it seems some people are still interested in that. My 1.5 is working fine. It's 1.0 that isn't.

You're meaning for the 1.0.13 demo site? I'll try to change that for you. The 1.5 site works fine, as I just tried it. It will have to wait until later though when I have a chance to re-install 1.0.x It's giving me some errors, possibly because of a previous user. Sorry for the wait, and thanks for ...

Re: Joomla! Themes...Are They Extensions?
Perhaps it would be good to start a new thread. Unless there is an objection from the administrators.
We cuold at least begin discussing it while we wait for 1.5 to become Stable.
Of course, this thread sort of is the discussion thread for this topic...do we really need another?
