We are still going. We were a little late getting registered for the event but we are most certainly going to be there.
We will be in booth 17.

Re: Install plugins
You could do this using the Installer framework package in Joomla! 1.5 relatively easily but I would suggest you try to get your architecture to work utilizing the existing Joomla! extension types. Joomla! plugins can usually do much more than the core suggests they can, if you are creative, y...

Hi Mathew and welcome. You are perfectly correct in observing the lack of documentation for Joomla! 1.5 development. If you are looking for API documentation, we have a very pretty but not always correct API reference available at http://api.joomla.org/ . As for getting up to speed, it c...

Re: add fields to contact us page
You would be much better off looking at one of the Contact type extensions on the extensions directory. I would be surprised if there wasn't something else out there that could accomplish that same task already for Joomla!.

I don't want to be rude, but the current svn template uistaller does not support this condition ⋅ Templates must utilize at least one Joomla! 1.5 template parameter. For that it needs to load an ini file to set and fiddle parameters See also m Walb, that thread and the one referenced insi...

To make it even more crystal clear, what does mean XHTML valid? Strict? Transitional? Frameset? And CSS valid? 1? 2? 2.1? 3? Well, considering that this is going to come down to a vote by forum members, I would recommend using the standards that other people use and work in the common browsers.&nbs...

Re: Discuss: A long day...
Joomla! 1.0.11+ have come with some mod_rewrite rules at the end of the htaccess.txt file that examine URLs for known exploit attempts. I would recommend having a look at those rules for some ideas on what to look for in log files. Also, use the script. That is what is causing the ...

I don't think this optimism and flower-handing for bringing the official sites back online, as well as blaming one setting and a non-distributed component, will fix and explain the defacing of 200+ other Joomla sites defaced in the last hours by the same folks... Sorry to not see this as such a gre...

Re: looks like joomla org hacked
If you have a library of attack signatures, the one that compromised the shop is definitely in there. It is very basic which is part of the reason that it is so unfortunate. Noted. Can you share the exploit they used? index.php?mosConfig_absolute_path=.... I told you it was basic.

Re: looks like joomla org hacked
It would also be great if the Joomla! team could share the log findings so those with scan tools can add these attack sigs to rule sets. It is very possible the attack sigs are all ready in many of these products as many of these attack scripts use well known methods. If you have a library of...
