After reading through this thread again I actually looked at the sql upgrade script and noticed it did more then just tweak the admin template table. I had to upgrade two sites from Mambo 4.5.2 (last stable release) to Joomla! 1.7 because we were getting attacked and our ISP was seeing the attacks as coming from us.
