Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

You probably did an anonymous checkout (the new forge allows this) and now you can't commit. That is absolutely correct! The key was the anonymous checkout. I had done anonymous checkout of the Joomla 1.5 repository and so my anonymous login credentials were being saved. This of course meant that w...

Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

Unfortuneately, I don't have that option. As I mentioned, I'm on Windows and trying this with Tortoise SVN (I also have tried the SVN included as part of EasyEclipse for PHP, but with the same results) so I don't have the ability to try command-line commits.

Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

Thanks ianmac, I had thought along those lines too, but even with a commit message I still get the error.

Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

Let me run through my steps to make clear I'm doing the right thing. I requested a new project on JoomlaCode, it was approved: J-AMFPHP with the 'unix name' JAMFPHP I created a new folder on my desktop for the project. Right click -> SVN Checkout -> m (no login info is requested at this point) The p...

Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

No, it's not helping.

Those are the exact steps I've been going through (except that I'm using tortoise on Windows, not a command line SVN on *NIX). I even started over from scratch to follow step by step. I'm still getting the error as soon as I attempt to commit a file or folder to the empty SVN.

Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

I have tested this using another SVN client, the one included as part of the "EasyEclipse for PHP" package. I get a very similar error when trying to create a new folder in the SVN: org.tigris.subversion.javahl.ClientException: RA layer request failed svn: MKCOL of '/svn/jamfphp/!svn/wrk/86474d7d-ac...

Re: Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

No, unfortuneately it doesn't help. I am doing the commit process correctly. I can update my local copy, no problem (there's no files yet to check out of course). And the commit process works and prompts me for my username/pass; after supplying them though I get the error Here's the log: Adding: Des...

Cannot commit to SVN for my project?

I have a new project on joomlacode (just opened yesterday) and every time I try to add a file through SVN using Tortoise, I get Error: Put of '/svn/projectunixname/!svn/wrk/random-hash-string/filename': 501 Method Not Implemented (http://joomlacode.org)

Re: Please move patTemplate forum for useability purposes

I think that's great! Thanks!

Ideally there should be more libraries listed ;) but I think its a good start.

Re: Please move patTemplate forum for useability purposes

Perhaps under development forums, there should be a "libraries" category (or something along those lines). Then within that category there could be a forum for each of the major libraries or libraries included in Joomla, such as patTemplate, LightBox, etc. I think it would quickly make it apparent t...

Please move patTemplate forum for useability purposes

Could the patTemplate forum be moved back under something? Exposing it as a top level forum is resulting in a lot of noise about Joomla! templates in general, as people mistake it for a "Templates" forum. Searching within the patTemplates forum is going to become very difficult if the extraneous pos...

Re: FAQ - How to include IE7 FIX by Dean Edwards in Joomla templates

I have used this set of scripts several times on my Mambo/Joomla sites. I'd like to put it in the /includes folder rather than add it to my templates. Of course, that's easy enough, but I'd like to provide it easily to others as well as a component. Can a mambot/component/module install files to the...

Adding comments to bug submissions

There doesn't seem to be any way to add a comment to a task unless you are a member of the project? One extension in particular that I know of has a bug at a very low priority level (the project head hasn't assigned it to a dev yet) and there doesn't seem to be a way for a person (not the bug submit...

I love it! Clear, simple. So many possiblities involving color and abstraction. Would look great as b&w line art even!

Re: New Logo

One thing to consider, is that this logo needs to look good when very very small (favicon.ico) as well as large when used as the site logo. That said, the colorful hand may be a bit over the top. It looks ok large (even though I dont like the design) but its just going to be a blob of colors at a sm...

Well, before I saw DeGrey's incredible design (my favorite as it's not too bubbly) I had quickly thrown this togethor:
