Re: joomlacode.org and svn are down

Well there would certainly be nothing wrong with having the choice for those of us with ISP's who do not have such policies, so a choice to use a torrent would still take off a significant amount of load. It doesn't have to be all or none on the torrent system.

Re: joomlacode.org and svn are down

Great idea on using torrents for main Joomla packages and for other popular extensions to Joomla, would greatly ease the burden and not rely on the forge when it is down for whatever reason. Maybe some of the pressure could be taken from the FRS by using torrents. We could set this up for j's packag...

Re: "Access Denied" to multiple projects

We have been requesting our projects be activated by admin for 3 weeks and we don't even get a response, let alone an activation of our projects. I applaud all those who are admins and who are moving the Joomla project forward, but it is frustrating when i have clients waiting none the less. Their f...

Re: Why are commercial components allowed?

I beleive there shoudl be Free Open Source and Commercial Open Source extensions in the directory but not closed source encrypted extensions like Recipes Pro. Open Source does not mean free as so many peoplle in this thread have mistakenly made the equation. Open Source means that source code is ope...

Re: Suggestions: licencing, templates and other stuff

There is this misconception that Commercial does not mean Open Source. Open Source does not mean free, it means not Closed Source. Commercial means it is a paid for license, not that it is Closed Source. I think there really needs to be a designation that an extension is Closed Source, as in Recipes...

Re: Project Name Chosen- Discussion

tell me again after you explain to all of your cleints when they say "what a weird name!"
and excuse me but in a democracy criticism is healthy, and should we jsut bow down to the almighty dev team, dont you people get it, it needs a name that is easy for clients to accept
