Re: New Logo
Here's my contribution .... http://www.lostcom.com/images/joomla.gif Cheers! Clarence I like 6.0 by Orbitant. Good stuff there The only problem I can see with 6.0 is that the Olympic movement are notoriously protective of their trademarks - you ought to see the bill being put forward at the moment ...

Re: New Logo
As I seem to caused a bit of confusion, I've knocked this up quickly to illustrate exactly what I meant by raising the option of exploring a co-branding agreement with OSI http://talkpolitics.users20.donhost.co.uk/media/joomla.gif The hand icon is just in there as an illustrative device, the key thi...

Re: New Logo
Awesome suggestions for a logo. I must ask - what kind of software do you use to create these logos? Apart from the odd one or two which use 3D rendered images, I'd guess most of these logos are being produced in one of the following programs which could probably be considered the basic designer's ...

Re: New Logo
Can I ask what should be an obvious question here. As there are 2 O's in the new name, has anyone on the Dev Team thought of approaching OSI with a view to a co-branding agreement which would allow the new logo in incorporate OSI's 'Open Source' logo into the design. As long as OSI aren't looking fo...

Re: New Logo
Just a quick note of caution before folks get too far into things... Trademarks apply not only to names but also to logotypes and other graphics (think the 'M' arch used by McDonalds). While the name 'Joomla!' has, no doubt, been fully checked, there's no guarantee that logotypes based solely or mai...

Re: 3PD standards and guidelines
ok, so you are looking for something like an abstract data object? I'm not quite following i don't think. By content i understood you to mean a content item from the database. That being the case, the fields are defined in the DDL and correlate directly to the mosContent data object. Ar...

Re: 3PD standards and guidelines
there is a mosContent object (in includes/mambo.php i think) It appears this is very much what you are looking for Louis Not quite, Louis. For one thing, a standard content object should not include content fields like title_alias, Introtext and fulltext - all it should provide is the control data ...

Re: 3PD standards and guidelines
Can I pitch in here and point out that the single most useful standard for 3PD would be a standard content object which includes all the basic data elements required to hook an item of content in the platform/backend interface. With that in place - which I know is a task for the next full version re...
