sorry, but you´re wrong. THIS month really means APRIL ->  Sunday, 02 April 2006 is the date the text was written.
they planned to release it in april...but as you can see.....they didn´t release it yet.

if you´re using JOOMLA for fun all the discussions about upgrading-problems and the final release-date is nothing more than thinking about whether to buy an ipod or not. i told my customers to wait until the end of april because of the new release. and so they are keen on getting the new version ins...
