Re: Divide the extension section into j1 and j1.5 [poll]
Did you know that you could do an advanced search? And that one of the options is to select 1.5 or 1.0 extensions? Now, what would be beneficial (I think) is to have the compatibility listed on the page w/o having to go into the component first., maybe right below the C/M/T icons.....

Re: Discussion about : Joomla! 1.5 is on the Horizon ...
Actualy it's fairly typical. Something inevitably goes wrong in the last few days right up to release (trust me, I have to deal with this kind of stuff on a daily basis) and when people are working on it in spare time voluntarily, you can have even more things go wrong that prevent work from b...

Re: Lack of Basic Information Annoying
Brain storm (actualy more of a slight shower) ... Would it be possible, I guess in the next release, on the last page of the installation, after all the "Congratulations, you now have installed Joomla!" if it would be possible to add something along the lines of: "Now that you have sucessfully inst...

Re: Lack of Basic Information Annoying
Thanks, tg! Not to keep the flames fanned here, but, the FAQ was mentioned in this thread and the document link I gave you is listed as a hugely important resource LOTS of times. The focus of this thread was unfortunately on the battle , not the help . I had to look really hard through your post to...

Re: Lack of Basic Information Annoying
m If you really read it - every single answer you have listed in the quote section in this post will be answered. I realize being new is frustrating, everyone wants to help you. This resource and others on the FAQ have been mentioned in this thread. Unfortunately, people seem more interested in tal...

Re: Lack of Basic Information Annoying
I've been stopped on this thread for some time now, trying to figure out how to reply without seeming ungrateful, rude, annoying and spitefull. I can't guarantee that I managed to exract all of that out, but here's my best shot: This same problem: documentation! (or the lack of it) exists since I've...

Re: Lack of Basic Information Annoying
As some one who is new to Joomla, but not to web development or CMS's and shares some of ricland's frustrations (albiet not quite to the same level of .... umm.... pasion) I'll take you up on that offer of outlining things I'd like to see documented. As I play with Joomla a little more over the next...

well, excuse me while I take my foot out of my mouth and eat this crow with a slice of humble pie. On a whim I cleared my cache and the extensions site works.... go figure.

Re: Extensions Site Offline [Online Now]
Well, considering this is my first time into this site, and the first time attempting to get into the Extensions.... the cache shouldn't matter. Connection is a high-speed cable modem conenction (700kps) so that shouldn't matter..... no idea....
