AWESOME!!!!  Great job done by all.  Let me tell you that this a welcomed breath of fresh air.  I've already found a few components that I didn't know existed.  Thanks to the developers of the site for all of your hard, devoted effort!

I agree. The hand (both in shape and color) are too similar to other well known brands. I don't thing that "Open Source Matters" is a good slogan becuase then you get:

Joomla! - Open Source Matters develeoped by OpenSourceMatters.

"All together" IMO,  has the right balance of meanings to get the job done. 1.  Noone's gonna know that Joomla means "all together".  Redundancy in the slogan will help that fact. 2.  We now have a TEAM that's "all together" 3.  We have a COMMUNITY that's "all together". 4.&...

My vote so far... including the slogan!

Over in the logo thread there's an image of the "hand" logo with the word Joomla in the "chosen" font with the slogan "All togehter...".  Search the logo thread.  I think this is it!

"All together now" doesn't need to be seen as touchy-feely.  To me it implies that we have an infrastructure that puts all of the important parts of a site together into one cohesive framework... i.e.  It's all together now! For fun:  Joomla! - It's not the fork! Serious: Joomla! - Si...

I really like peek's design.  It's unique.  The simple font compliments the hand very well.  I don't like the designs where the hand is with the OpenSource symble version of joomla... too busy!  Peek's is great!

That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw what Joomla meant! 

Can't say I'm a big fan of the new name... but it's growing on me  .  I have to admit, the initial reaction of the people I have told so far is WTF?  Hopefully it's got a cool meaning at least  .

I also agree that an hour may be a bit tight for some people.  Also, some will be asleep and other will be dodging the boss to get their registrar  .  In the end, the Dev team is doing what they feel they need to based on legal advice and we'll need to live with it.  I just hope ...
