Re: FAQ: Comprehensive guide to htaccess
Thanks leo for your well thought-out and lengthy explanations! I've heard a lot of good things about Open-SEF, but may I say that SEF is not really what I'm after in this case? You see, I'm currently running a Joomla-SMF bridge ( com_smf ) and my goal is to completely disengage from the ...

Re: FAQ: Comprehensive guide to htaccess
I'm trying to remove the SMF bridge - Is there a way to use .htaccess to automatically rename:

2. http://www.kaitech.hk/component/option, ... opic,385.0 (SEF enabled)

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! 1.0.5 Release
Is this related to the new sef bug? I patched it already using saka's sef.php... but my ItemID's are incorrectly outputted...
For example on my front page http://www.kaitech.hk, all the article items that are shown with their introl gets /1 appended, as in http://www.kaitech.hk/content/view/18/1/
This only happens to content items displayed using "# Intro"!

Re: Discuss about : Upgrade to Joomla! 1.0.4 Security Release now!
Greetings I tried searching the forums for my problem but found nothing, and decided to post here. I trust I'll be pointed in the right direction if this has already been discussed elsewhere. I installed Joomla! 1.0.4 from scratch (no updates) and ran into the Submit Content Cancel Button bug. I do...

Read through some of the above posts regarding the "charset" issue...
I am not aware of any other major bugs at the moment, this and the "media manager" problem seem to be the ones that require the most attention.

Yup, I saw this until I did a "refresh" in my browser to pull the latest CSS file.

Re: Discuss about : Upgrade to Joomla! 1.0.4 Security Release now!
Is there any reason why there are what appears to be two empty directories in the 1.0.3 to 1.0.4 package? (haven't checked the others)
installation
installation/sql
Can I remove these?

Mark,
Can you give an example of when this might be useful, or if you have a link that'd be great. Thanks

Re: joomla.org and SMF forum
Thanks for all opinions -- I will go with SMF for now. Seems a little harder to setup initially (and "steeper" learning curve) but my research tells me that it'll be worth it.
