yep! as the last sentence in the post states  the only situation is joomla.com  I"ve changed my bookmark to relfect .org .com however looks broken.

All images in both FF 2 and IE 7 do not show, only the placeholders show. Been like that for days. Gives a bad first impression. can post a screen shot if necessary. The images do show on joomla.org though.
