Open Source does matter, however extension developers often have earn money with their extensions in order to make a living.
How many of you have supported a free extension developer with your donations? Not many, I bet.

It would be awesome if all extensions were XHTML and CSS Valid! To encourage developers to write XHMTL and CSS valid extensions I'm suggesting to put other two MTree custom Field in the Extensions Directory. It would be great.
