Re: Charging for Membership - several levels needed
Hi Lobo, wow, that's really generous of you. I have to admit that I am sort of ashamed I was not able to make CivicCRm work on any of my trial installations. It has been a month since I last tried and I am willing to give it another shot. I am afraid I don't have SSH access to the server my client's...

Re: Charging for Membership - several levels needed
Hi, I did not realize I got responses on this post. The email notification did not work. In any case, I have tried AEC and for several reasons did not work in the project I was working on. Mostly because of poor organizational skills in the non profit organization I was consulting for. Now I am work...

Re: Adding an Application Form/Process
Try Phil-a-form for surveys. I built several of them using it. It's scalable and it saves the records in the database. It's commercial but very cheap

Re: How to handle conference registration
There is also the "attendEvent" component you may want to try.

Re: Event Volunteer Sign-Ups: No Workable Extensions?
I am using an event sign in calendar that interfaces with Paypal called Eventlist, but I think it would be easy to modify for your purposes. It has the minimum and maximum number of registrations and I think by making the event cost $0 it would work for you. Another thing I like is the ability to ca...

Re: e-commerce addon that lets community sell through my joomla site needed
I think that the easiest solution for you would be to use a Paypal button on a content page. There are several solutions, but I like to use the RAWCONTENT component. You will have to insert the PP button for them in RC but they will be able to place it in their content with a simple mostag {rawconte...

Re: Community site undergoing update - Help required adding new features
Chinaman was very kind and tactful. The site is not the worse I have seen by far, but not the prettiest either. "Not inviting" is actually a good term for it. Looks like you need some professional help with the design and layout. As per your questions, there are contrinbutions for the ticketing and ...

Re: New Non-Profit Site; Comments Welcome
The site looks professionally done, but is the "picture of the day" so important to go above the fold? I would move it to a lesser spot and place news and static text there instead.
Otherwise, I find the site's color scheme unusual and pleasant at the same time.

Re: Joomla Contractor/Expert
I am US based and I have worked with several organizations. Like the other poster, depending on the complexity of the work I could be on call to solve small problems for free and offer a reduced pay scale for more involved issues. Since the other poster is Australian and I am in the US it may work w...

Charging for Membership - several levels needed
I am working for a non profit (norcalsolar.org) that needs their members to be able to buy memberships at several different levels. Currently they want to use Virtuemart (with an eye to the future when they will be selling actual products) but I think it's a inelegant way. The ideal solution would b...

Re: Neighborhood Organization website
You have done very well indeed for a first timer. Here is my critique: Header graphic: There seem to be no advantage to having a graphic there as opposed to plain text. If you need it to be a graphic I would suggest using a GIF or PNG as the jpg you are using distorts the text (you probably saved it...
