This is just spreading of bad rumours to phpBB. And not true. Search for "phpBB" and then "SMF" at m and you'll see SMF with 5 pages of results, while phpBB has 34 pages. phpBB3 may be better, if they have adopted the "one click upgrade" process used by other systems. ...

I'll vote against the change due to the security problems phpBB has always had (just make sure you religiously keep the updates current, and prepare to spend hours with each update if you've done any mods).
