I know what you are saying, that you appreciate the continued hard work of the guys. But lets be honest, some serious unacceptable foopahs have been happening and things really need to get tighten down - especially regarding the Quality Assurance. Agreed That release of 1.0.6 should not have happen...

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! Brand Guide & Logo Usage Released

I'm sad to see all this bickering about logo. Maybe its a natural reaction after the events with Miro that led to the formation of Joomla. I also had a Joomla Topsites and was emailed that the logo i had created was in violation of the brand usage guidelines, so i changed it.  The reason I am s...

Re: Discussion about : Joomla! 1.1 — Developer Power, User Excitement

@joomlasolutions_JB Why check Drupal only? There are several CMS featuring Multisite. I checked several CMS and I liked Joomla most. Most of us here have several Joomla sites. And if you search forum you will find many requests for this feature. Anyway, my excitement will come when I will see Multi...

Re: Discussion about : Joomla! 1.1 — Developer Power, User Excitement

Not so excited Where is the MULTISITE? check out Drupal, they have multisites already. The thing you have to remember is that no one CMS or any software for that matter can be everything to fit everyone's different wants and needs. the core has been long overdue for a code structure overhaul and th...

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! 1.0.5 Release

good to know. i edited all my .htaccess files in all my installations like the one i posted above.. so actually this is interesting.. if each installation is using inheritance then i could just use one htacess in the root install and not have to edit 20 different files, is that right? No, because i...

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! 1.0.5 Release

There is a situation where some loops could be created. That's if you have multiple installations of Joomla in subdirectories. Make sure every subdirectory has its own htaccess file, even to turn off mod_rewrite if you don't use SEF. Otherwise it will inherit htaccess from directory above and there...

Re: Discussion about: Joomla! 1.0.5 Release

I am surprised that the .htaccess file has not been fixed yet. The current .htaccess causes a huge strain on server resources and has caused one of my joomla sites on a hosted server to get suspended. This is only with core SEF enabled. The current core .htaccess does not have any 404 page not found...
