No one is going to shoot you for your opinion,  but I doubt that the designer is any kind of a wimp.  The core developers will decide whether there is a previously unseen problem that they can't handle. Part of that process is this discussion. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that...

...from the very first time I saw the logo I felt it was a copy-cat from the Ubuntu logo. The Ubuntu logo is conceptually similar (linked arms), but still quite different to both of the above logos.  Have you pasted an older variation of the Ubuntu logo, perhaps?  I don't know a lot about...

@ urquharttownson : Well done!  Definitely the most community-oriented logo of the bunch. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of the other logos either.  There are plenty of other Joomla-oriented websites, modules, components, etc... which could perhaps benefit from a logo... time wi...
