Where to find good coders

I represent a non profit who needs a component developing. We have a serious budget and have posted the project on Joomlancers, we have also contacted a number of high profile Joomla developers, all of whom are either too busy or just ignored our requests for a quote. Can anyone reccomend where we c...

JEclipse

I have been reading about this project and it seems to be great. I have since first heard about it, dived into eclipse and I now have easy eclipse and all the other required parts running, however the instructions for installing the jeclipse plugin do not seem that clear for someone who is new to us...

Re: Getting event off the ground

Its nice to see how a bit of forward thinking and respectable dialogue can combine to find a way forward with something. Its very often threads like this that end up becoming flame wars and out of hand. I am very busy up until the end of Jan/Feb which is one of the reasons I thought of having the ev...

Yes I am looking into organising a UK Joomla day for next year, probably around Aug/Sept.  However it wont be in London. A lot of these things always happen in London all the main expos etc happen in London so I am heading a bit further North/West, in fact I am looking at having it in Aberystwy...

Getting event off the ground

I am looking at putting together a Joomla training workshop and joomla day over the course of a few days. However I have no idea where to start or how things are done elsewhere. What I have so far is a plan a location and a facility to hold the event. My plan is to make the event for both developers...

Sorry guys but it down for me here in the UK.
It was ok Yesterday, but I have not been able to get on it for over an hour now, I can access all other sites fine.

The system is apparently returning a "connection refused"

Re: Building the Ship - IDE

The release with the wizards hasn't been released yet...  we are having trouble getting the packages uploaded, as the guy working on it has been having trouble with his connection. The J!Code you find on Joomla!Code doesn't have the JEclipse plugin. Ian How long do you envisage until this is a...

Congrats Pred :)

Good to have some more talent on the team, where do you find the time?

Are you still planning on working on your components, openSEF, Vbridge and finishing the Commercial component you were going to make, or are you going to pass them over to someone else?

thnx

Re: Some thoughts on non-profits...

Yes the term non profit, charity etc can apply to a lot of different organisations the needs of those organsations are very very varied. I dont think you can put down a list of requirements that will fit everyone. Its a lot like business, each business has its needs and its different to what another...

Hi Col, I would like to thank you for doing this , but I have a question that I hope you can answer. Re: Discussion about: Logo Competition - Community Vote begins

I think the logos should have been restricted to only being used for Joomla for now.

I see the Bird logo is already being used by comeonjoomla.net http://www.joomla.org/content/view/159/43/ and I think this undermines the process a little. Plus we want the Joomla logo to be unique, not something that is already being used on another site.

They are very similar still though. When Design Outpost went through its first 'loook', they had a great little forum icons. When a new message was poster or replied to it had a little signpost (outpost ) with New on it. For Hot topics they had other things completely. I think this is the type of wa...

They got it working over at Mamboserver news page Couldnt you do the same thing and set up another Joomla?
