Why is MySQL Support unavailable?
The Web Install Walkthrough of Joomla checks if MySQL Support ist available. Which means that it checks if MySQL support for PHP is available. If the webinstaller says that MySQL Support is unavailable it's likely your PHP enviroment doesn't have the neccessary extensions.
