How to distribute languages for native Joomla! 1.5 extensions?
When you create a translation for a 3PD extension, usually it is included in the package, but sometimes it is distributed separately. In the 2nd case, it may be difficult to tell the user where to upload the language file(s), though it is even more simplier now than was in Joomla! 1.0.x. To avoid th...

With as much effort the shareware, trialware and demoware products would be removed from the software libraries. JED would be so one-sided - it's no good.

... Update: Download and Homepage URLs are not available at the moment due to mamboxchange not responding. My opinion is that a download link should be pointed at the author's site only, and not at a 3rd party download site. I have no objections against mamboxchange, just visiting often software li...

SUGGESTION: List only the version changed extensions as "Recently Updated"
In the software libraries only those lstings are considered as updates which have changes in version numbers (including the builds). When other details (description, download link, screenshot etc.) are modified by the submitter, the product actually is not displayed among the new/updated lists. By m...

The major software libraries (Download.com, SnapFiles.com and some others) do not list them. At one time a warning was added to such prod...

BTW, is there a banner available for the Linux User Awards? I would add it to my banner rotator.

ot2sen, thank you for confirming my noticement. I myself the editor of a small national software library of desktop applications. SUGGESTION: List the updated extensions in New Extensions
Joomla! Extensions Directory is my No. 1 favourit resource for 3rd party add-ons. I sadly noticed that only those extensions are added to the New Extensions list, which never had been listed in the directory. It would be great to publish the updated extensions here as well, even because only this si...
