Where do I post for help in Joomlacode.org?

I just tried to re-register samsitemap at joomlacode.org.  I got an error telling me the unix name samsitemap already existed.

Who can I contact for assistance to get it relisted at the forge?

samSiteMap site back, how can we get relisted?

I moved our website to a new server, upgraded the Joomla to latest release and in the process broke our copy of DocMan (downloads were not working).  I have fixed the problem and samSiteMap can now be downloaded again. I am assuming this is why we are no longer listed under the indexing categor...

Re: Joomla mentor needed for np site setup...

Its a tall order Joe, but if you are willing to learn and experiment, you'll get there. If the site is NP, pm me with some information and lets talks.  I will be happy to setup the joomla and VB integration for you. The template may be another issue.  Perhaps a template dev will step in to...

Re: http://forge.joomla.org/forbidden.html

the answer is - "IT IS MICRSOFT - THAT IS WHY IT DOESNT WORK" While that is amusing, it is unfortunately a fact of life that most web surfers use Microsoft.  I, as I am sure you do, prefer other browsers, but I use IE because I know the overwhelming majority of my customers do. We ignore IE co...

Re: http://forge.joomla.org/forbidden.html

This issue has been going on for a while now.  It seems to be isolated to IE.  In Firefox, it works fine, and some IE users can get in. They just haven't nailed down the reason why some can't.

Re: Couldn't download Joomla

I would be happy to assist the forge admin in finding out what this problem is.  It clearly does not work for me, and for quite a few of my site visitors who want to download samSiteMap.  I am going to have to change my links to the forge to include warnings about access with IE. I have of...

Brad, Saint: I run XP on a windows computer for the IE, which is the only one having the problem, and the only one running IE.  It runs Mcafee VS, which I have tried disabling.  I also run a few plugins for IE, so will try disabling those as well. Here's the crux of what I am concerned abo...

Re: Joomla Forge ?

m loads just fine for me. Brad, Is anyone looking into this?  I have not been able to get into the forge for about a month now when using IE.  Firefox is/has always been fine. The problem is that I refer folks from the samSiteMap website to the forge directly (to download samSiteMap).&nbs...

Re: Assigning templates to forums or galleries

per camos request: I use two methodologies, each dependent upon the site it is deployed on.  On some sites, in particular where a lot of custom development is taking place, I use the method of setting a variable with the code used to display a page.  This could be adapted via mosaddphp or a custom m...

Re: Assigning templates to forums or galleries

This multi templae option can also be done with a segmented singular index.php in the template. I use a simple switch statement to decide on either a 3 column(default/normal) display format, or a two or single column (depends on the site).  This way there is no need to maintain two index.php fi...

We would have no interest in continuing development for it like we do with Mambo.  We would (if we chose to) simply use it for its intended purpose.

Your points are noted BSD, and quite frankly even if we do not agree, I respect your right to your own opinions. Let me drill down just a little bit here, as I think it will be productive for all of us, but particularly you and I moving forward. Lets start with the definition of "free".  Its an...

Re: SMF is not GPL!

Not sure this will be a welcome post.... This conversation has the potential to cause additional fractions within this community.  We are not all going to agree as to whether the inclusion or use of GPL"free" software should be the standard.  To pursue the goal of using only GPL software i...

Request to the moderators

Two things folks, Is it possible to set up the forum so that we don't have to look at our own pics at the top of each page?  I wholeheartedly agree with using our own pics as avatars, but would love to not have to see my own face at the top of each page. Can we setup some tech support forums/folders...

Re: SMF is not GPL!

The question is should we support free software like we do now, by using nonfree forum engine. WOuld you use mambo or how is it going to be naed if it would bee free of charge, but not free software. I would not. Also, are we spaking here about software freedom or not? XMB is great free forum engin...

Holy cow,,, this is going to get rough for Miro.... I know who is, and trust the core dev team.  I just can't say the same about Miro.  This is sad news, as it will inevitably split this community, but I suspect the majority will be joining you very soon. Good Luck guys, maybe its time for a "rebel" CMS Perhaps its time to start coming up with a new ...
