Hi Congrats for the move, but I personally don't like due fshagan's comment about security risks and troubles phpbb has, but I know you guys will overcome this, and will have things working great as always I guess this move will make the forum less bandwith hogging, etc. so go on !! seadap I'm posting a general idea so someone (with enough knowledge about custom joomla component programming skills) can develop this component I think this could be an useful addition... If I had enough joomla coding skills, I'd do it by myself... I've just started reading about this some days ago...

You're right tjay, but these options should be available before importing, with checkboxes or radiobuttons - Author would be choosen automatically, by getting the logged user info - published status = select list - section = select list - category = select list a good idea would be to have the same ...

I think there will be a lot of similarities between components for J1.5 and J1.0.x, but I think you'll have to do some mods for it to work fine in earlier versions
