Re: unblocking super administrator
Blocked as in unable to login? You'll want to go into your database admin tool (often phpMyAdmin) and in the jos_users table edit the admin user and change the value for blocked to 0.

Re: New Logo
Here is one I have been working on since I saw the new site. Love the color scheme so wanted to stick with the same look. The first one shows the logo by itself. The second shows my guides to show that everything is very specifically placed for a reason (and that I'm anal about good design structur...

Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
It's not a matter of convinience. The core team all signed documents that assigned copyright to Miro. The title of the document escapes me right now but it did have the word joint in it, so that may be one of the things they are figuring our with their lawyers right now.

Re: Country Flag In Post View?
it a goos idea, but the more time the team spends working on upgrading the forum (if the extension for SMF exists) the less time they can devote to Mambo. Brad seems to be away for a while he might be able to get to it when he gets back.

Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
1) At the current moment it is all copyright Miro. Since it was released GPL they have no legal recourse to keep anyone from starting a new project based on it as long as the terms of the GPL license are followed. My guess it the reason we haven't seen the 4.5.2.4 release yet is the core team is bus...

Will you please go visit the SMF forums and see the very large and active third party developer community they have and stop whining about it.

Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
The core.devs must take into account the billions of dollars of free publicity that they have generated for mambo before just letting go of the project name. As an advertising professional I feel that leaving the name to miro is a bad idea. This was the the only option Miro left the core team. They...

Well, here is a non-scientific experiement.
I googled "phpbb security hole"- 60,600 results
I googled "smf secutiry hole" - 20,000 results
phpBB is notorius for horrible security flaws. So bad, in fact, that some hosts won't even allow users to use phpBB on their shared servers.

Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
Well, there goes the neighborhood. It is a real shame. Mambo is a great CMS. I have written components and modules for it and am currently doing so now. Where do we go from here? I think it is time for a new thread. This one is way too long. According to Andrew Eddie, the fi...

Re: SMF is not GPL!
If software doesn't have a GPL or something like that, it isn't open-source. GPL and open source are 2 completely different things. GPL is a licensing scheme that gives users rights to do pretty much anything they want as long as credit si given to the original authors. Open source simply means you...

Re: Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community - Discussion
Well, right now the only step is getting more people here. Hard to do when Miro's site mysteriously stopped working ::)
After things settle a bit (over the next few days) the community at large will get more info from the core team and we will go from there.
