one of the main points about trademark infringement is infringement against another in the same or simiilar category, which the ms office logo is registered in, and in a zillion-and-one different computer/software related categories.. the dove soap logo is a virtual non-issue for a computer softwar...

This is a nice logo. Kudos to the designer.  Yeah it looks KINDA like a MS icon and it looks KINDA like the Ubuntu logo, but it appears to be an original design and let's face it... it KINDA looks like it has tuning forkes in it, but nobody complained about Joomla! having nothing to do with mu...

i had run across that just the other day too.. that icon is based on the 'z' (0x7A) in microsoft's wingdings font (wingding.ttf).

I too thought this logo was too close to Microsoft products. Those 4 coulors are known to be used by M$ in most of their products (Win, Office). perhaps, but a copyright notice on a web page is for the CONTENT, not the back-end software.. mine dates back to 1994.

might want to start that with a year before the current one, so you don't get 'copyright 2005 - 2005'...

my first impression when i saw this logo is that it looked like a microsoft one... microsoft office 2003 for windows...
