Re: Discussion about : Andrew Eddie Says Goodbye but not Farewell
Andrew, Mitch, Arno - thanks for your unwaivering commitment to Joomla! and open source. Although I've been inactive here for quite some time I still keep up with what's going on. More than some know. And from that perspective it is truly a sad day for OSM and Joomla!.

Re: Joomla Server - Reason For Outage (RFO)
Yea, just wait til you drive up to your data center and find a phone company truck and a 20' x 20' trench on the street corner with a rather large bundle of multicolor wires sticking out of it. I shudder every time I remember that scene. And oh yea, a sewer is NOT a good place for the phone company ...

Re: I want to help but...
I agree. But in the interim, you can use the Quality and Testing forums here - http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,179.0.html. I think the core team is watching that one pretty close.

Re: Wrong menu orientation on details link
Firefox 1.0.7 on WinXP. [Edit]This is pretty strange. I load joomla.org in a new tab and it looks ok. I click on a menu item on the left menu and it's vertical. I click on Main (top menu) and it's ok. Also, if it shows vertical and I click my refresh button, it looks ok after the refresh. Wondering ...

Wrong menu orientation on details link
Click on 'details' on the top of the Joomla! homepage - http://www.joomla.org/content/view/154/52/ Top menu is vertical. Should be horizontal.

Joomla.org - blazingly fast - how?
I just made a trip around the joomla.org website. It seems blazingly fast. I noticed when moving from menu item to menu item it seems like only the bottom 2/3 or content pane refreshes. Now, I'm on dialup and this is a huge improvement. I notice every little lag when loading pages. Heck, my sandbox ...

Re: Mark as read - Session verification failed
I guess I'm impatient. Sometimes instead of using links to go back to a forum, I just use the back button. I'm on dialup so every bit of speed saved helps. And I don't always read every topic so I like to use mark as read when I'm done with a forum. Still getting the error, btw.

Re: Bug Tracker Problem
Glad to hear it. I for one, having done my time in the trenches for a paycheck, make it somewhat of a hobby of tracking down the odd glitch and bug when I can. It's just my fun way of giving something to the project. Personally, I wouldn't mind being on the maintenance team. I have the skills and ti...

Re: Bug Tracker Problem
Ok. I've dug and dug and experimented on my project. I just don't see any way to allow logged in users to comment on tracker artifacts if they are not the artifact author or project admin. That is, individual fields don't seem to have any access settings. Am I missing something or does the RBAC just...

Re: Bug Tracker Problem
One difference I see here is that only the author of an artifact or a project member can leave comments on that artifact. In the old forge, I was able to help as a member of the community by posting fixes in tracker comments. Team members could then pick up the fix from the comments. Being able to l...
