Re: how to change $mos_config_live site ?
mmm yeah but plenty of components use $mosconfig_live_site to create the URL right?.... well actually I should still try since actually I still have redirection from my old URL but unfortunately I had to change the config of artio as well so the URLs are not similar and I wouldn't be redirected to t...

Re: how to change $mos_config_live site ?
Yes well I think the developper is a nice person simply he left this aside and is not good in terms of communication... I guess I will have to go with pms enhanced till he releases the free version of clexus in a few months.
thanks anyway for your time

Re: how to change $mos_config_live site ?
Well this is a component that is not sold anymore and will be released for free (but I can not wait 3 months), that is why since I did not and will not break the license I thought it is ok. Indeed I will still use the license of the component that I bought for only one site. But I understand your po...

how to change $mos_config_live site ?
Hi guys, Sorry if this does not go in this thread, but this is coding so I suppose there is no problem. I have a problem with a component that I purchased (clexus). I changed my URL and the serial won't work anymore, and it seems impossible to contact the guy who made it to get a new clexus ( I mean...

Re: Communication Software Poll
well my understanding is that in skype you just begin to chat with someone, then you can invite others to your discussion just like msn if you know better... So that's not exactly like a chatroom, just comes whoever is invited or maybe also those who bookmarked the conversation.

Re: Communication
I will give one vote for msn just because that's the one that is open most often on my computer and because it is more convivial and shares files much faster (although skype improved recently on that point).
But I am fine with skype.

Yes I go for the poll!
One question: msn can have a chat with more than 2 people ( I don't know if there is a limit).
but can you with yahoo skype and all?

1)What is your favorite book on PHP, classes etc? I started to read a bit of an old o'reilly book. That's how I started, but that was a long time ago. 2)What is your favorite IDE for coding PHP What does "IDE" mean I'll search that but according to the posts I would simply say php expert editor some...

Re: Extension Ideas Go Here
@ AMY this could help to learn how to turn a code into a component for joomla. Maybe it is a good starting point I am not sure. But it may be hard to handle a code that we never touched right? I mean I don't know, I did not look at the tutorials yet, but you probably need to know the inputs and outp...

Re: Communication
Well shoutbox is a nice idea because it is more persistent, but you still can't search too much the history of it like in a forum. And maybe can't use it as extensively as a Chatroom. bascherz is right in that the main discussions that are potentially interesting for everyone should be in a forum wh...

Yes I totally agree I just went into thinking about killer components as proposed above but I did not really think it should be done here.

Re: 101===Beginners :) Welcome and Thank You.
Hey Amy and Tjay, I think the idea of Tjay is nice to begin with some key aspects of coding that help us move along For Amy you asked what could be the killer component missing. Actually I think first about PMS and gallery. Cause there are a lot of both but for all they are kind of abandonned (uddeI...

Hi there well that's a good beginning!
I was thinking maybe you could add a sticky post with a link to the tutorials Amy talked about?
Or other tutorials and places related to this initiative...
ps: I don't know about free food , it's hard to stick into the cable...

Re: Joomla People Interested in Joint Efforts
Well I agree with the above the 3 points are well expressed and of course it would be close to joomla. I agree also that it would be nice to have a discussion over a messenger (msn, psi...) or a chatroom but it can be difficult to unite everybody as some may be in europe, others in america or elsewh...

Hi guys, reading this interesting thread after Mattew pointed me to it. This a great initiative and I would be happy to join it. searching for new volunteers to help me develop my Asian community...
Hi all, I already presented my website in site showcase. This website aims at spreading asian culture in a nice asian community. I would like to find new people to help me develop the website. Maybe some people who did not have time to actually create their own website alone but are dying to partici...
