I take your point about the information from the event being available after the event to those who were unable to attend. The event team are currantly working on some ways for this to be facilitated easier

There is a bit of a difference between a debian download of several gigabytes and a joomla extension of 1mb. The point about a secure trusted downlaod site is valid and that is why the S&I team have worked hard to get the new improved service online asap

The events team are currently finalising the work to allow better publicity etc for all types of joomla events including joomladay andJUG

The only "past history" is that Phil was the first "full time" developer of Mambo and then Joomla extensions and I guess some people just dont like that.

Please note that this "votw rigging" applies to ALL etensions and not just commercial ones.
