just another 2cw from me - I decided to forego Joomblog (as advised!) and tried Mamblog - so far so good.  Nothing fancy, but it does the trick for me/us.  Good Luck

Thank you - I do appreciate that bit of info.  I have nothing new to report from my last post as I ditched the entire experiment after hitting the snags I described above.  I will download this version to test when time allows and thank you again!

Ok Thanks to you guys I got the link where I could download the joomblog package.  Downloaded the stable version and proceeded to "extract" the tgz file - that was a mess.  Too much to explain here, but let's just say even though I'm no expert at tgz and tar files, I'm very familiar with b...
