This may not be a solution but it may still be a small issue
even after a move. Assumming Joomla sends a large amount
of traffic to a forge.
An example of the Forge receiving un-necessary bandwidth
and traffic is the extensions that show as being updated when
they may not have had a file update.
I saw for example that JoomlaXplorer had an update posted
to the 'Recently Updated' category today, 2 hours ago. I had no
choice but to click through to the Forge only to find out it has not
been updated since last month?
Would this not be a bit of a problem? Should extensions
show an update when in fact they may not have been
updated? I assume it shows an update no matter if the
file has been updated or not due to some wording being
changed by the extension owner?
This may end up causing an extra load to where-ever
the new forge ends up being.

Cutting down on un-necessary bandwidth and traffic? Topic is solved
Re: Cutting down on un-necessary bandwidth and traffic?
I take your point but in the general scheme of things that sort of trafic is pretty inconsequential

Daryl,
I see what you are saying. When it says "Updated", it just means that the person has updated the their profile for that Extension on the Extensions site. It does not necessarily mean that they updated the component (just as you stated in your post). Thank you for the information.
