European Law Monitor

European Law Monitor is a not-for-profit organisation that monitors new legislation issued by the European Commission to make it easier for individuals and organisations keep abreast of what's to come.

The original site was built using a commercial CMS system, which was quite expensive to operate and maintain. The new Joomla site is easier to manage (a lot!) and does everything that is required with a much lower overhead.

Phase one of the project, to migrate all the informational content to the new site was completed in January 2007, and the second phase, to transfer the legislation databases, will be completed by the end of March.

The site uses some additional components: Joomlaboard Forum, JEvents, FlexAdvert, DS-Syndicate, and Facile Forms.
