Duplicating Websites?

Post by cybersachs » Sun Nov 25, 2007 2:16 am

Greetings

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I downloaded and installed Edugeek's site template. Made changes to suit our school division and would now like to replicate these websites for various schools. Thinking I'd like to create a separate install and database for each.

Is there a reference somewhere on how to do this? Do have phpMyadmin installed. Can I just duplicate the content and database and then just change the settings in the config file?

Thanks in advance!

Use a backup/restore component such as Joomla! Cloner, JoomlaPack, etc.

Yes.

Dupe everything & modify configuration file.  I am doing this in moving a Joomla site to new server. Essentially same thing.

From there you can edit and modify for your new site.
