So I just stumbled across Joomla in the course of trying to develop a site from scratch (and learn PHP in the process) and decided this would be the fastest route to putting a new site on the web.
I'd like to take advantage of the experience of other school site administrators by finding out how you guys do things. How you arrange your content for a multi-campus site, what plugins you use, et cetera.

Re: School site recommendations?
I think you will get a much better response in the Schools and Universities board.
Moving thread to "Schools and Universities" board.

If you are interested in what school districts and non-profits are doing with Joomla, check out the area < http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,153.0.html > in the forums.
Also, Rey (one of the magnificent Developers we have!) posted a NUMBER of school websites < http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,35462.0.html >
Glad to see you checking out Joomla! - you are correct - it will be a much faster route to a new website -- with all the extensions available, I would have to code a lifetime just to catch up!
Cheers, Amy
