Just an opinion... Don't be mad mods.
Since we are an OpenSource community, why we don't use an OpenSource board such as phpBB 2?
Yes we know that commercial board, such as vBulletin which currently being used in main Mambo Forum and this Forum which is powered by SMF has greater features than an opensource bulletin board called phpBB. But all this features can be done in phpBB too by the use of Mods available in hundreds of phpBB sites. They also have great community supports and developers that are still on focus fixing bugs and security issues.
Not using an opensource board also means not supporting their opensource software. Just want to encourage you guyz please support other opensource softwares so we have greater bonding and community in the future.
coz, OpenSource rocks!!!
Cheers,
OpenSource Board for OpenSource Community Topic is solved

Re: OpenSource Board for OpenSource Community
I have personal experience with vbulletin, smf and phpbb, and despite phpbb being open source it is IMHO inferior to SMF and vbulletin. It is also incredibly vunerable to security holes/exploit.

Re: OpenSource Board for OpenSource Community
We have discussed this already. btw, phpBB is one big hole and bug so I'd rather avoid it whenever possible.
