Outpost For Hope

Post by cachapoal » Sat Oct 06, 2007 1:48 am

http://www.outpostforhope.org
This site is on Joomla 1.013
We have JCE Admin as our editor, Letterman for our newsletter, SQL Dumper for backups, and we have also integrated Chrono Forms to work on a couple of contact forms which will be displayed soon, and just integrated Project Fork, which we have accessible from the front so as to have various people work on the different project.
The template is from Joomlashack (commercial), and I've changed a few bits to integrate information boxes etc..

:D

Hi, Inelia ~

I think you've got a great-looking site here, but I did want to suggest that you check it out in IE7 (I know - BOOOOO!). There seems to be a width issue, and the template is expanding beyond the header and footer corner graphics.

How is ProjectFork working out for you? I hadn't heard of this extension before, and I'm really excited to check it out.

Best,
Nicole

Bummer, I thought we had resolved the IE issues :P
Can you tell me what pages are coming up with the width issue pls? This has been an ongoing problem and it seems to pop up in the most unexpected places.
ProjectFork is a great tool, we haven't had any problems with it. Although it does take a couple of days to learn its features, it is easy to use and very intuitive. We linked it to the front via a staff menu so that volunteers don't have to go into the back to see and update their work flows etc.. So far so good :)

Hi -
Unfortunately, it looks like all the pages are displaying this way. I've posted a screen shot to http://www.flickr.com/photos/34633370@N00/1636985868/ so you can see what's happening.

Hope this helps!

Yes, it does help a lot. I have some ideas of what it might be.

Good luck (that IE box model is the most frustrating thing!) and let me know if you'd like an updated screen shot.

Oh, and that Project Fork is turning out to be pretty useful for tracking tasks and projects! Thanks for turning me on to it!

Have a great weekend,
Nicole

Nicole,
I couldn't fix the template so I contacted joomlashack who created it. They couldn't fix it either so they are going to donate a new IE7 compatible template for outpostforhope.org.  We have had fantastic support from joomlashack always, and this is another amazing development from their support team.  I can't praise them enough.

At times like this aren't you glad you bought your template? I'm happy JoomlaShack is working well for the support. They sure have beautiful templates, and I've definitely considered using them for some of my projects.... Best wishes on your project!
