Hi everybody.
Currently I can see huge number of extensions in JED that are not very useful and professionally done. I have a feeling that some developers are submitting extensions just to leave their finger print and that’s all. Looks like we are having Pareto principle 80-20. 20% of extensions on JED brings 80% utility.
So my question is there any kind of popularity statistics for each section in JED? That information could help developers a lot to make extensions that users are looking for. That could make JED more hi-quality, users more satisfied and Joomla! more powerful in general.
