Wow, great list Ken. You never fail to blow me away with your willingness to share solutions. You clearly understand that the popularity of this project is burdened by its ease of use. Thanks again for your hard work.

You might consider adding a link for PHPDocumentor since that is the documentation solution tool that the Joomla core has chosen.

Added:

JoomlaStarterKit  (Windows)
Based on - ApacheFriends XAMPP (basic package) version 1.4.14
Apache 2.0.54, MySQL 4.1.12a, PHP 5.0.4 & 4.3.11 (v1.3 as of 2005-10-19)
After many request for a simple to use local Joomla installation were designers can test out their Joomla template designs locally. We decided to build one from the best distro XAMPP of ApacheFriends. org. It is just one simple zip file. Just unzip JoomlaStarterKit.zip in your C:\ directory. This creates a folder called JoomlaStarterKit. It does not install any registry files or make any system level changes to any files at all. To uninstall just delete the JoomlaStartKit folder, C:\JoomlaStarterKit, and it is all uninstalled.

Some more Mac stuff:
Transmit (not free) - FTP/SFTP - http://www.panic.com/transmit/
Cyberduck (free) - FTP/SFTP - http://cyberduck.ch/
BBEdit (or TextWrangler, which is free) - Syntax-highlighting editor - http://www.barebones.com/
CocoaMySql - GUI mySQL browser - http://cocoamysql.sourceforge.net/
SVNX - SVN browser - http://www.lachoseinteractive.net/en/co ... /features/

Also, along with WinCVS, there's MacCVS and gCVS for OS X and gnome on *nix, respectively, released by the same people (it's on the same site as well).

Also, jEdit from http://www.jedit.org/ is a cross-platform full-featured text editor with many tools (multi-file regex-powered search and replace, split window views, etc..) and plugins for things like revision control (CVS, Source Safe), diff tools, FTP transfers, PHP syntax, HTML tidy, XML & XSLT tools, and more.  I'm not usually one to push text editors, but this thing is powerful and cross-platform.

More goodies to add.

Still need to add the ones from Beuvema above too.

We are going to have the best Developer Tools list on the planet.

There's a new free IE Plug in for Web Developers that allows you to examine your HTML page under IE - the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar. It can be downloaded from:
