one more on the list of things to improve for Forge, this one is up to each of you dev's using it:
todays titles are:
-Calendar 1.0 released by Func. (well done, cool.. but then:)
-RC 2 ready
-RC 2 ready (these are two different.. components I guess, haven't checked..)
-Version Alpha ready
-Version 1.0 ready
Claudio, sorry this time it's you, nothing personal but it's not the first time devs use such titles, thanks for your contributions!! (grazie): such titles do not mean anything to anybody.
Example suggestions (don't know if number of chars is limited..?):
- Dynamic eBay listings RC2
-Italian weather com & mod RC2
-SQL Table manager alpha
-Hit counter mod v1.0
etc...
If every title would include either com, mod, bot,.. and the name, it would maybe make searching a bit easier.. untill the new CMT project seees the light of day..
Is there ANY way to access previous Forge news bw..?

Stupid Forge News titles!
Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing.

Re: Stupid Forge News titles!
This is down to a fundamental flaw in the forge software. When you write the news you are writing it for your own project so it makes perfect sense to write a heading like "RC2 released". Of course as soon as it is published on the front page it makes no sense at all.
On the old forge, news was not automaticaly published to the front page. Several times a day I would check the list of new "news items" and approve them for the front page. At this time I would adjust the heading etc so that it would make sense when read outside of the realm of the specific project. On some occasions I would also reject news items if I felt that they were not appropriate.
I'm not sure what the solution to this situation is other than to encourage people to write sensible headlines so that they make sense outside of their own realm

Re: Stupid Forge News titles!
Sadly, there are a bunch of unintuitive things like this on the forge
My previous requests still stands... (when will the "newest projects" and other useful (promised) modules be published anyway?)
Ontopic:
Just adding the Project name would be sufficient, no need for editing before publishing. Something like this:
JoomFish: Important bugfix release!
Should take approx a minute to add this to the template...

I'm not sure if there is a global Admin access to each Project, but the Projectadmin can delete his News and write it again.
The "Humor, Fun and Games" forum has more than 2500 Posts, so why not build a "Humor, Fun and Games Working" Group?

Sorry about the title btw, didn't mean to sound that harsh.. should've said "useless" or unintuitive..
