In the past i did force the coding standards at XOOPS building this wikki:

We need also coding standards here, i have seen a lot of components which use directly mysql_ tags , doesn`t use mosHTML or the toolsbars.

In the current CVS Verisions there are nice feature add like linkbar etc to give the 3PD hints how to use completly the Core API and when 4.5.3 release also make use of pattemplates.
The "Humor, Fun and Games" forum has  more than 2500 Posts, so why not build a "Humor, Fun and Games Working" Group?
