Important missing feature

Post by eyezberg » Sun Mar 19, 2006 1:37 pm

Please tell me I have missed this, or is there really no way to navigate by extension TYPE?

I was looking for a particlar bot, and found no way to search/navigate only bots? Can it be true?

:'(  :(  :o  ???

Hi eyezberg,

We will look into that. Should be possible to fix by using Advanced Search features of the mtree component.

Whilst I can see where your coming from I think it might produce useless results.

My reasoning is that a single extension my include a component, module and plugin (bot)... and many do. That being the case, selecting "bots" for example; would also bring up pretty much every extension that includes a searchbot even though the extension is primarily a component.

This would mean that to make the result worth while it would need to be a way of telling the system a. what the extension is primarily and then b. What other extensions are included.

Cheers
Shayne

I meant only "stand-alone" bots which do not rely on a component to work (such as glossarbot or akocomment for example); anyway I have started a listing today..
