Make a test site live Topic is solved

I have designed a test site in a sub directory of my current site.  I wish to now make this the new site.  How do I do this?

I tried putting the index.php from my joomla directory into my root - this doesn't work.

Any suggestions,  please?

One thing that isn't mentioned there explicitly: you will have to move the entire Joomla installation, not just the index.php.

I thought that might be the case.

Some simple take all of the joomla directory contents and move them to the root - simple.
