No plugin in installers section!!

I think i am using the version 1 and I do not have plugin section.

Why is so?

Are you trying to install a mambot? The term plugin and extension are terms that are going to be used in Joomla 1.5 that is still in development. In 1.0, we have components, modules and mambots.

yes there is a mambot tab but do not know what it does. how can i upgrade my version?

What are you trying to install? With most mambots, you need to deinstall and install the new version.
