10 free places to the LinuxWorld Conference

Post by lester » Mon Sep 12, 2005 4:49 pm

I couldn't find a "contact us" on http://www.joomla.org

The "10 free places to the LinuxWorld Conference"  item at http://www.joomla.org has a link entitled "Register for a free expo ticket ." Although the link looks ok - http://linuxworldexpo.co.uk/wraps/joomla/ - I find that clicking on it takes me to http://www.brake-fast.com which is a web site I have never been to before.

https://secure.linuxworldexpo.co.uk/wra ... e_form.php might be the link you are looking for.

Hi Lester

Yes there is something wrong with the link and I have reported it to the expo organisers.

The link you posted, whilst it will get you an exhibition pass, will NOT get entered into the draw for the conference tickets.

Hopefully the expo people will fix this soon

I knew Andrew was going, as I had previously discussed it with him. However, it is great to see so many from the Joomla team will be coming to Linux World. I shall have to stop by the uklinux.net stand and say hello, Brian ;)

I'll have to have my own mini-joomla conference in Byron Bay at the same time ;)

I'll bring the roo sausages! ;)

On a related note, I just noticed the other day that there is a Linuxworld expo for the first time in Sydney in March!

Any plans for a Joomla! booth there? It seems like a good idea.

I haven't heard any plans to that effect, but given the Aussie contingent on the core team, I would be surprised if we didn't do it ;)
