Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
I'll just be patient and wait until the servers cool down a bit before I download my share of...nah... *opens TortoiseSVN*
Congratulations on making the milestone happen everyone, and happy testing!

Super, thanks for the hard work. It seems to run faster than the alpha. Besides does anyone knows how many downloads it already is?

Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
Ok this is bad.. right?
PHP Fatal error: Class 'JTableUser' not found in /var/www/web9/web/libraries/joomla/common/legacy/classes.php on line 514
Just get a blank screen in admin though the site is still working.
I turned on legacy mode and that is when it died on me
Sorry this is my first post.. I have been using Joomla for a couple months now and am extremelly happy with it!!

Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
Only one pproblem that I cannot seem to get around yet, FTP set-up is not working. I am running Joomla! with MAMP, Mac OSX 10.4.8. I cannot find the path for ftp, does anyone know this? Should I use my Mac login as the user and my mac admin as the password? I tried this and no go. I have tried several things, none work yet. Suggestions?

You might like to try here for 1.5 Beta support. Specifically this thread.

Sadly, yes. However we work very hard as a moderating team to keep spammers off our forum. Sometime we even catch them before they post, but in this case, sadly, not this time.

Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
I'm sorry I know.... I'm asking the sort of questions that people hate on an OS project like this, but....
I'm planning on relaunching a couple of my websites that use Joomla in the New Year, and as such would quite like to not have to then redevelop them when the new version (1.5) comes out as a complete version.
Do we have any timescales at all about Beta2 releases, or even what the target date for live release is?
Thanks
Nunners

Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
I'd like to know some timescales, too, please.
I don't have a production Joomla site yet (they're all piecemeal bits from random web design tools) and, having tried 1.5 in a test setup, I'd like to progress.
However, I'm now faced with three options;
1) Deploy 1.5 beta in production, knowing I'd have to redeploy my content by hand when the final release comes (this isn't my favourite plan!)
2) Deploy 1.0 and migrate. But I'm not to keen on change all my sites, only to have to relearn and re-migrate later. Especially if 1.5 is released three days after I finish putting in 1.0!
3) Wait for 1.5 - which is fine if it's "Real Soon Now" but is a pain if it's six months away
So, any best-guesses on timescales would be very beneficial.
Appreciate everyones efforts so far - job well done.
Cheers,
Scott

Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
I've read about the 1.x priority project for a final release. After that all efforts by the dev members will be for the 1.5 development. Well, in the Forge all of us can take a glimpse at bugs fixing list. There are a lot of hard work, yet. (But the most has been done!)
Moreover, I know that our dev team members have other tusks, and so on... so on my own I'm waiting the 1.5 beta.x not before February/March. This just a personal opinion, I hope not true, but We know that we aren't machines but humans
Merry Christmas Joomla!

Re: Discuss : Joomla! 1.5 Beta Release Date Announced
Will v1.5 support easy integration of phpbb? I am getting tired of trying different bridges and modules, nothing seems to work. Either they work when they are released but don't keep up with newer builds of phpbb and also joomla.
any suggestions please?
