This Forum not line wrapppng??
This Forum not line wrapppng??
I'm finding many of the Forums posts here are not displaying the full text of all lines. Many posts have lines which are truncated and not line wrapping.
I'm running IE7 w/o problems on numerous other sites, and even when Maximized, the text of posts on many lines is missing.
Any comments?

Umm try viewing it in FireFox.

I choose not to use FireFox. IE 7 suits me fine. But Thank You for the reply.
Re: This Forum not line wrapppng??
I've been doing a bit more reading and learning, although I still feel like I'm wandering blindly.
Might the line wrapping problem be a SMF issue of these Forums rather than IE7?
I do notice today that the emoticons are now properly appearing after the text, whereas yesterday they were overlaying some of the displayed text. Is that finding symptomatic of known issues of SMF? The Joomla Forums? IE7, Joomla's Wrapper component code?
One of our club members (the one originally suggesting Mambo and a Mambo expert) mentioned there were layout width problems running phpBB Forums in a Mambo IFrame. Might this be related to what I am seeing with the Joomla Forum posts not line wrapping?
Looking forward to your replies...

I use IE7 and don't have the problems you are mentioning at all. As a number of people use IE7, and no one else seems to have reported these problems, could it perhaps be something on your end that is causing this?
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Only several steps into Joomla thus far... All other Forums, in which I participate running w/ vBulletin or phpBB operate correctly. As far as I know, they are not displayed in Joomla, iFrames nor Wrappers. If the condition is no longer present, it will become obvious during the day and on into tomorrow as I proceed further exploring Joomla Forums.
At least it is good to know it's not a widespread nor known IE7 formatting issue. One of the reasons I chose to proceed with Joomla rather than Mambo (most current version) was Mambo's several left most Admin pulldown menu's did not display correctly in IE7, whereas in Joomla they did.

Welcome to Joomla!, MusicLaw.
I'm not having problems with the J! forums and IE 7, either. If you see a problem, again, it might help to do a quick screen print, then attach it to your response. Or, perhaps it is a specific page and including the URL will help diagnose the problem.
The Joomla! forums have always been very good at handling FireFox (which most of us prefer) and IE (which most of the world uses.) Problems tend to be fixed promptly, as well, if easily reproduced.

Thanks, Amy:
Will do! If the problem persists, I'll grab a screen shot to post.
