Imopssible to register to the Forge ! Topic is solved

Hi,

I would like to register a new account to the forge in order to download the SVN version of Joomla. Each time I want to register the account on the website a message appears telling me that an error occured and that I should contact the administrator. I receive an email in my mailbox for the confirmation but once again there is an error. What should I do ? How can I get the lastest version ?

This seems kind of disconcerting that their has been so little responce to this thread.

It's a matter of 'join the club'.  We haven't been able to do any administration at all on Forge in the last week. Hopefully this will change soon.

I received a nice reply from VA Software, :-)

but it wasn't particularly helpful :-(

Would be nice if there was  a note someplace saying:

"Forge is suffering problems, we are working on it."


VA Software stated that the problems were fairly low level which doesn't sound fun. (well, maybe it does, but only for a certain value of fun :-)

The forge itself seems fine, but I think the user registration is still a tad broken

I have feedback from the system engineers, another number one priority. It is indeed not possible for new users to register.

Same here... can't register and if I do get registration email sent, then I get the same error message to contact administrator when i click on the link to get verified.

This is getting frustrating, I too cannot register.

As you can see from my postings I'm new to joomla, yet my only couple of postings have been bug reports with the fix required. Fortunately due to the goodwill of others these fixes have been incorporated in the source code. I have just found another couple of bugs which I believe I can fix and I would like to get access to svn to update the code as required. As much for my own satisfaction as to avoid imposing on others.

Please can we get this fixed otherwise I'll be going else where to learn about svn.

Indeed, it's possible to register new accounts again. I got the tracker at five in the morning when I was luckily still sound asleep .

Go ahead and re-register your username -- when it failed, it didn't create your username.
