Tips and Tricks Section?

Post by ¥ » Fri Sep 09, 2005 7:10 am

I have some tips and tricks to share - but not sure where I would place them. Or if I wanted to find them, where I would look?

For instance, I just posted a question relating to "escaping" Mambo's html forms - using a CSV text file to quickly populate a database, rather than entering the data manually.

Whether I get answer here or not  :P - I'll eventually figure it out, and then I'd hope to be able to post that tip somewhere, so the next person might run across it.

Fantastic idea! A tutorials, tricks and tips (or triple "T" alteration for the technical among us) would be most welcomed and encouraged. Childboards with sections pertaining to Database, Administrative, CSS and other functionality could easily sort out the various topics via browsing or the search.

Brad, could you consider adding some child boards for the topics listed above instead of having them all in a single area?

Brad,

Here's my first tip:

Given I'm not a coding guru, you guys might want to take a look at it. But it works for me  :P

I was going to make this same suggestion, but then I found this thread.  While the FAQ section is good for some of this, how about the tips you may have that aren't an FAQ, but may be helpful to an extremely small number of people?  That's where a good tips & tricks section comes in handy.
